Kumaraswamy defends son's behaviour

Friday, October 27, 2006 (Bangalore):A day after Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil Gowda made news with his wild party, his father tried to explain the episode.

Gowda reportedly threw beer bottles and broke other things in the Bangalore hotel.

But his father said that his son's behaviour was just reflective of the life young people lived in Bangalore.

"This is not an embarrassing incident. Such things happens sometimes because of high standard of life in Bangalore city and the influence of friends," said Kumaraswamy.
