Tension in western UP, one dead

There is tension in the Muzaffarnagar and Bulandshehar districts of western UP after a clash between two communities during Diwali celebrations.

One person died in the clashes. The police have cordoned off the area where the clashes took place.

PAC jawans have also been called in to maintain peace.

Members of a group objected to the bursting of crackers late into the night and this led to an argument, which then degenerated into stone pelting and firing.
