Mole revelations based on letter: Jaswant

Former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh today spoke about the mole in the PMO issue in the Rajya Sabha.

Singh quoted from a communication between Harry Barnes, former US Ambassador to India and one T W Graham who was the head of internal security in the US.

The letter spoke about sensitive matters like Indian nuclear tests and the deployment of the Prithvi missile.

Singh said that he was surprised that the Prime Minister had questioned the veracity of the letter as intelligence communication seldom bore a letterhead or a signature.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh meanwhile intervened and said that Jaswant Singh should simply name the mole.
