CHANDIGARH: Ankur Kakkar of Ludhiana will lead Punjab in their first two Ranji Trophy ties against Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Punjab will play their first Elite Group A match against Mumbai at Chandigarh from November three and the second match against Hyderabad at the PCA Stadium, Mohali from November 10.

The members of the team are Ravi Inder Singh, Sunny Sohal, Uday Kaul, Taruwar Kohli, Pankaj Dharmani, Chandan Madan (Wicket-keeper), Rahul Sharma, Harmeet Bansal, Loveabhilash, Gaurav Gambhir, Varun Khanna, Vishwas Bhalla, Manpreet Gony and Barat Loomba.

A Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) spokesman said that Bhupinder Singh Senior will be the coach of the team.
